WVCA Preschool implements a progressive play based emergent curriculum organized by age and development. Our curriculum provides hands-on learning through intentional learning activities, games, and play that lead to a successful Kindergarten entry. Teachers are warm, positive, loving, caring, and professional early childhood educators.
WVCA Preschool is undergoing exciting improvements in 2020 that includes a new play structure, preschool program offerings extended into all schedule options, and additional quality improvement measures associated to Raising Quality participation. These efforts have been celebrated with special recognition as Best Preschool in San Joaquin County and Best of Tracy 2019. Thank you to our school and church community for supporting us in achieving these recognition's.
Our Director has been closely monitoring multiple agency guidelines including both the CA and San Joaquin County Public Health Departments, and Health and Human Services Agencies for how to proceed, and when to appropriately take action. Michele is an experienced early childhood professional with a career spanning 15 years. She is also a mother of two children, which has provided a complimentary approach, and philosophy, on both the importance of balancing the joys of childhood and school readiness.
Michele has served as a program director and early childhood administrator since 2006, and has served in programs that include Head Start, Private Christian Education, and before- and after-school care programs.
The passion for early childhood extends further into the field for Michele. Michele has taught early childhood education to future teachers at the college level, and often is a guest speaker at conferences, including Key Note presentations for ACSI.
